Dansk AdministrationsCenter donates working hours to the Sølund Music Festival
25 May was a different kind of working day for the employees of Dansk Administrationscenter. Instead of working in front of their computers, they donated their working day to help at the Sølund Music Festival. The employees helped to set up the tents for the festival. “Your body knows you’ve worked hard when you get home. But it’s great fun getting out of the office and carrying out practical tasks together with your colleagues,” said a smiling Louise Lemming Düring, who is a Controller.
Hard work for a good cause
It is the second occasion that Dansk Administrationscenter has helped to set the tents up for the Sølund Music Festival. The first time was in 2019: “Because of COVID-19, the festival was not held in the last two years. This means that helping with this year’s festival is a little bit more special. You can sense how much the organisers and the local residents are looking forward to the festival starting.
“It’s nice to know that our work helps a group of people who people don’t have the easiest of lives. At the same time, it is the ultimate team-building exercise, which everyone has approached with a positive attitude and a willingness to work hard throughout the day. I believe that this team spirit helps to make our workplace very unique,” said Louise.
Sølund Music Festival
Sølund Music Festival is the world’s largest music festival for people with disabilities and their assistants. Every year, for three days in June, around 20,000 people meet up in Sølund next to Skanderborg.
